Tailwinds Brewing Company- Taproom Servers
One of the most important positions in a small brewpub are those who pour and serve our beer. We’re looking for fun, energetic and customer-oriented people to be the front-line representatives of our brewery. Cranky, mean and un-fun people need not apply
Our brewpub taproom servers will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in our brewery's on-site taproom, primarily by pouring and educating customers about the brewery's craft beers, while also maintaining cleanliness and ensuring the strictest compliance with applicable liquor laws Other duties include the selling our merchandise and assisting with food service when needed.
Key responsibilities include:
Beer Knowledge and Service:
· Thoroughly understand the brewery's beer menu, including flavor profiles, brewing styles, and recommended pairings.
· Accurately pour beers using proper techniques, including glassware selection.
· Guide customers through the beer list, offering recommendations based on their preferences.
Customer Service:
· Greet customers promptly and warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
· Answer questions about the beers, our mug club, the brewing process, and brewery events.
· Actively engage with customers to ensure a positive experience.
· Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally.
Taproom Operations:
· Maintain cleanliness of the taproom, including tables, bar tops, and glassware.
· Help to ensure prompt delivery of food items to patrons both at the bar, and to tables
· Stock beer lines, glassware, and merchandise.
· Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management.
· Process transactions accurately through the point-of-sale system.
Merchandise Sales:
· Promote and sell brewery merchandise, including apparel, glassware, and growlers.
· Assist customers with merchandise selection and packaging.
· Promote our mug-club offerings to potential members.
Compliance:
· Adhere to all liquor laws and responsible serving practices.
· Check IDs and refuse service to intoxicated individuals.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:
· Passion for craft beer and a willingness to learn about different styles
· Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with diverse clientele
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Must have a strong work ethic, pay attention to detail and have the ability to multitask
· Basic knowledge of cash handling and POS systems
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends and be available as needed for off premise events.
