Tailwinds Brewing Company- Cooks (“Sandwich Artists”)

We are looking for experienced foodservice professionals to join our team. Our Cooks, or “Sandwich Artists” will be responsible for preparing fresh sandwiches to order by assembling various ingredients like meats, cheeses, vegetables, and sauces, following specific recipes and customer specifications, while maintaining a clean and safe work area and adhering to the highest food safety standards. We are looking for those skilled in crafting high-quality sandwiches with attention to detail and customer service. 
Key responsibilities of a sandwich chef:
Ingredient preparation:
·      Cutting, slicing, and portioning meats, cheeses, vegetables, and other toppings as needed. 
·     
Some knowledge of meat smoking, roasting and grilling helpful
Sandwich assembly:
·      Following customer orders to build sandwiches with the correct ingredients and portion sizes. 
·     
Presentation is everything. We’re looking for artists!
Menu knowledge:
·      Understanding the different sandwich options and special requests on the menu. 
Food safety compliance:
·      Must religiously adhere to proper food handling requirements and sanitation practices. 
Cleaning and sanitation:
·      Keeping the sandwich station clean and organized, including washing utensils and wiping down surfaces. 
Customer service:
·      When meeting customers, provide a quick positive experience. 
Inventory management:
·      Assisting with stocking ingredients and maintaining proper inventory levels. Advise Management of any shortfalls.

Skills required for our Sandwich Artists:
·      Attention to detail: Ensuring each sandwich is prepared accurately and with quality ingredients. Presentation must be perfect.
·     
Basic knife skills: Properly cutting and slicing ingredients. Must know how to properly use, sharpen, sanitize and store knives and cutting boards. Experience with professional slicing equipment is a plus.

Time management: Working efficiently to meet customer orders in a timely manner. 
·       Communication skills: Preparing orders accurately and interacting with customers and taproom servers politely and professionally. 
·       Teamwork: Collaborating with other staff members in the kitchen and taproom is a requirement. All of us play a part in providing exceptional customer service.
