Tailwinds Brewing is honored to host Rob “Z-Man” Zettel, Lt Col, USAF (Ret.), for a book signing event at Tailwinds Brewing Company in Union Grove, WI on Wednesday, March 11th.
Rob, a Case High School graduate, retired United Airlines Captain, friend and working associate of Rick (Tailwinds owner), is the author of the newly released book American MiG Pilot: Inside the Top-Secret USAF Red Eagles MiG Squadron — a fascinating firsthand account of flying Soviet MiG-21s and MiG-23s for a highly classified USAF program during the Cold War.
The book was just released at a special event at the International Spy Museum in DC on February 10. It’s now available to the public.
As a member of the secretive Red Eagles squadron under Operation Constant Peg, Rob and his fellow pilots flew real enemy aircraft in order to train U.S. fighter pilots — knowledge that forever changed American air combat tactics.
