Position Summary
As a Taproom Server (Bartender), you'll be the face of Tailwinds Brewing Company—serving beer, wine, and food with energy and enthusiasm. You’ll be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming bar, sharing your knowledge of our offerings, and ensuring every guest feels right at home. This role requires a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a team-first mentality.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all guests in the taproom and outdoor areas.
• Serve beer and wine in accordance with local alcohol laws and company standards.
• Take food orders, communicate with kitchen staff, and deliver items promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and taproom area.
• Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and POS system.
• Educate guests about our beers, brewing process, and menu items.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and checklists.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
• Support special events, off-premise functions, promotions, and occasional brewery tours.
• Promote a fun, welcoming, and responsible drinking environment.
• Promote and sell brewery merchandise, including apparel, glassware, and growlers.
• Assist customers with merchandise selection and packaging. 
• Promote our mug-club offerings to potential members.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Prior bartending, serving, or taproom experience preferred.
• Knowledge of craft beer, wine, and food service is a plus—but passion and a willingness to learn are even better.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and able to multitask.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must obtain (or be willing to obtain) responsible beverage service certification (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol).
